Have you ever wondered which stories are hidden behind the walls that so many of you pass daily? As a citizen that was born and raised in Amsterdam I was awfully unaware of most stories. Walking the eponymous audio tour by the Stadsarchief made me look differently to the city. It made me go back in history (which was actually not even that long ago). It made me reflect on the traces that were left by colonialism. Scars that still mark today's society and its injustice.

Are love and generosity still relevant today? Or will the court discourage humanity and compassion? Will it become illegal to offer a blanket or a cup of soup to undocumented newcomers?
